Its strange to find how ppl in India react to incidents which have absolutely nothing which relates to them..
The outburst of the mob in punjab, causing chaos and destruction is a simple, yet strong example.
I love my country,and respect all religions, but i seriously feel that its sheer joblessness that leads ppl in india to mock something ,which is meant to be so personal..
Which other country in the world behaves in this manner...did the American's & European's start burning and ruining their national property when at 26/11 their national's were killed..
Why doesnt the preaching's resound in one's concience when it come's to facing the hardships of life ..religion being used as an escapade for every suffering , convincingly leaving it over a candle or a camphor stick's aroma to lead us to our inner peace..
Creator is one...
Destruction of god gifted valubles over man made religion is definetly a shameful succession of humans..

hey neha,nice post.If we talk about religion and belief it is not what people should be thinking of,its just what value we have for a human life.We should be thinking in broader aspects about ourselves,our country and humanity.
ReplyDeleteBut don't compare the indian mentality and scenario with west.The governing dynamics over here is entirely different and WE know this(included you also in this we).What concerns me is that what are we doing to put the appropriate measures in place.
We want a change,we don't like people killing each other,but on the other hand we also don't want to face the realities which leads to all this.
If we value life,we do value our existence as an individual,as a country and as a race.
This post is not about a nation..its about one trying to connect to his own innerself..which ultimately is the destination of every religion..

ReplyDeleteThats where 'economics' comes into play, there is no shortcut to the 'problem'.we have to improve the 'economics' of our country. I can't remember a 'developed' country behaving like this.

A little reference would help me :D. Don't follow a whole lot about India. Haven't heard anything bad happen there since late last year, I guess since that attack in Bumbai; is this something recent?
